Teaching Strategy as Design: A Report from the Field

Within the strategy field there exists a growing consensus that a capability for strategic thinking will be critical for the shapers of tomorrow's environments. The authors argue that pedagogy in strategy has not kept pace with theory and that the teaching of thinking is a missing component in our teaching of strategy. The authors describe a course focused on strategic thinking as a process of design and reflect on the issues raised in its development and initial offering.
